Great for swimming and snorkeling during the summer months, the waters off of Sunset Beach are placid and crystal clear. During the winter months, however, the beach takes on a new life as waves commonly between 15 and 20 feet high make the location a choice spot for surfers from all over the world. One of Hawaii's largest beaches, Sunset Beach Park is about 2 miles long with a seemingly endless white sand beach. A great place for collecting sea shells, relaxing in the sun, and enjoying the surf, Sunset Beach is a wonderful destination for everyone visiting Oahu. Please check with lifeguards before venturing into the ocean and check all warning signs posted on the beach.
