Adult Admission Purchase Gets Free Child's Admission Ticket
La‘ie, HI – March 11, 2008 – For a limited time, the Polynesian Cultural Center is showing its love of families by offering parents a way to save on a visit to its
island villages and exhibits by offering a free child's admission ticket or 10 percent off of a full child's admission package with the purchase of an
adult admission ticket.
Starting in March, this special offer gives families a chance to sample the best of Hawaii's top paid visitor attraction for half the price. The
admission ticket includes access to all of the PCC's eight island villages and exhibits with its interactive activities and shows, as well as the
exciting Rainbows of Paradise canoe pageant, the IMAX film Coral Reef Adventure, a La‘ie Tram Tour and a canoe tour along the winding lagoon
throughout the park. The timing is perfect too, because it gives a full afternoon of activities and then families are free to continue along O‘ahu's
North Shore for a look at the surf, dinner in Hale‘iwa and get the kids home in bed by 8:00 p.m.
Especially fun for families are the Go Native! activities featured in each island village, which allow kids to fill their Passport to Polynesia and win
a prize while learning about Polynesia with hands-on games and demonstrations. For example, in Aotearoa New Zealand they can learn how to
play tititorea, twirl poi balls and get a temporary tattoo; Samoa offers an exciting lesson in fire-making and coconut husking; Tahiti will teach how to
bake coconut bread, shake their hips and go fishing; Hawai‘i teaches the tradition of hula and a sampling of makahiki games like konane, ulu maika
and more; and Tonga features the spear toss, drumming and the nose flute.
"We're pleased to be able to offer this special deal for families who want to visit the PCC and take part in our fun, interactive cultural activities,"
said Alfred Grace, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the PCC. "It's a significant deal, since a family of four will save at least $66 off
the normal admission price. And it allows more time to explore the rest of O‘ahu after learning about our Polynesian cultures."
The offer started on March 1 and is good for a free child admission ticket for children ages 3-11, valued at $33 per person, through April 30. Kids
under 3 get in free. Cannot be combined with any other offer and, if redeeming the 10 percent discount package offer, it must be purchased at the
PCC box office.
