For the most famous and picturesque waves on the planet, there is only one place to find them. Oahu's Ehukai Beach Park is home to the most famous surf break in the world, the Banzai Pipeline. During the summer months, visitors to the beach will find pristine conditions for swimming and snorkeling in the crystal blue waters over the sandbar and Pipeline's shelf like reef. During the winter, however, large storms in the North Pacific create large and powerful waves transforming the tranquil beach into one of the most dangerous surf spots in the world. During the winter months, you'll see pro surfers putting the lives on the line and pulling into deep barrels. Ehukai Beach features miles of beautiful white sand beach in both directions as well as lifeguards, showers, and public phones. Please check with lifeguards before venturing into the ocean and check all warning signs posted on the beach.
