Umi Sexton is an entertainer, you can tell it by his performance and by the way the audience is captivated during his performance. His speed was what made him stand out last year, and helped him win the 2007 World Fireknife Championships. He can’t take it easy as the reigning champion this year however, not with all 26 other competitors are after his crown.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackAcrobatic skill and grace, along with a whole lot of Samoan pride sums up Umi’s return to keep his title of World’s best. In this tight competition it’s anyone’s title to take and Umi had a tough time with several drops throughout and what looked to be severe muscle cramps. We’ll see if the judges honor his warrior spirit for pushing through to the finish.

hey my name is kelsey i just wanted to let know that im your bigest fan in fireknife danceing but the thing is i dont have ur t-shirt for the 2007 competition.when i saw u hurten on the stage i had to cry cause i think ur the best fireknife dancer ive ever seen and yea im from waianae to so maybe i’ll see u around da area wells piece out…….:)
