There are a few other ways to get to the Polynesian Cultural Center. We typically don't recommend the following methods, unless certain circumstances dictate that you use them.
TheBus:
It is possible and very economical to get to the Polynesian Cultural Center by Oahu Transit Service, more commonly known as TheBus. The benefit of utilizing TheBus is that it will cost $2 per person to get all the way out to the center. But don't open your wallet too quickly; that ride that normally takes a little over one hour by any other transportation means will actually take about three hours by city bus. You will need to transfer from one bus to another at least once; it is not normally possible to ride only one bus without transferring to another from Waikiki to the Polynesian Cultural Center. Also, the bus doesn't pass by the center until at least 30 minutes after the night show, and sometimes even longer. Feel free to visit their website for schedules and further information.
Taxi:
This is like renting a car but not having to drive. The benefits of this form of transportation are that you will be picked up wherever you want, you can stop wherever you want, and you can do whatever you want on the way out to the Center, as well as on the way back. The bad news is that you will have to pay for it; a straight one-way run to PCC is typically over $80 per person. And make sure you schedule a pickup around the end of the night show; there are no taxi yards close by, and the wait for one from the time you call at that time of the night will be well over an hour.
