What you need to know before your visit

We are excited to welcome the world back to the beautiful 42-acre Polynesian Cultural Center and are working diligently to establish protective measures for both our guests and staff


We have taken enhanced health and safety measures—for you, our other Guests, our Villagers, Students and Staff. You will be required to follow all posted instructions while visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and Guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

By entering Polynesian Cultural Center and the Hukilau Marrketplace, you are confirming that you and all persons in your party are not experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at, including:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

You also verify that you have not been in contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 symptoms without completing a 14-day quarantine following exposure.

Guest who cannot confirm that they, or anyone else in their party are symptom-free, are asked to move their visit to when those conditions can be met. All cancellations up until 24 hours before the scheduled visit can cancel or move their reservations with no extra fee.

By entering the Polynesian Cultural Center, you acknowledge that you understand and will abide by the above health-and-safety requirements.

Covid-19-health-safety-guidelines - Polynesian Cultural Center

    Face covering or masks are required for all guests, ages 5 and up.

      • Masks which meet Hawaii state government standards are required for all guests, ages 5 and up, at all times throughout the Center, except when seated in a designated dining area while eating
        • Must observe all distancing rules when the facial cover is temporarily removed.
        •  The following elements are not acceptable coverings and will prevent you from entering the Polynesian Cultural Center:
          • Covering with exhale valves
          • Coverings that include mesh material or holes
          • Costume masks
          • Masks that contain offensive words or graphics
          • Coverings that are not secured around ears or head
          • Coverings that cannot be secured under the chin – no bandanas
    • You are welcome to bring your own face covering, however, masks are available for purchase at Goo’s Plantation Store in the Hukilau Marketplace (may not have all sizes)

    Temperature screening is required for entry into the PCC

    • All guest are required to undergo a temperature screening before they can enter into the PCC
    • In accordance with CDC guides, anyone with a temperature of 100.4F will not be allowed entry.  Their party and traveling companions will also not be allowed to enter the PCC.
    • Temperature screening prior to boarding the bus or entering the PCC.
      • If the temperature is above 100.4 you and/or your guests will not be allowed to enter our transportation or the Center.

    Maintain a distance of 6 feet (2 meters) between guests at all times.

    Physical distancing, also referred to as social distancing, has been proven to substantially reduce the public spread of the corona virus. Hawaii has demonstrated success through the institution of proven distancing procedures.

    The Polynesian Cultural Center has actively addressed physical distancing measures by installing physical separators in enclosed areas, such as our ticketing and food service areas; displaying clear instructions and markers along pathways and redesigning walkways and seating in order to provide comfortable space between guests and staff.

    We ask you to join us in these efforts through the following actions:

    • Maintain a distance of 6 feet (2 meters) between guests at all times.
    • Follow all posted signs and ground markings installed throughout the park in order to keep you physical separated in common areas and queues.
    • Cooperate with our efforts to establish limited capacity, modifications or the temporary closure of certain performances or activities and/or venues within the Polynesian Cultural Center and Hukilau Marketplace.

    Increased cleaning procedures will be maintained throughout the Center. As an extra measure, we have also installed automated hand sanitizing and hand washing stations throughout the grounds

    In accordance with established guidelines, the Polynesian Cultural Center has:

    • Increased both the size of our cleaning staff and instituted an aggressive cleaning schedule that satisfies or exceeds state and national requirements.
    • Extra attention is given to high-traffic areas, including handrails, benches, tables, handles, restrooms, transportation vehicles and more.
    • We have also placed hand sanitizer and hand washing locations throughout the Hukilau Marketplace and the Center

    Additionally, hand washing stations will be available throughout the Center. Please, wash or sanitize your hands frequently.
