Polynesian Cultural Center Named Best Lu'au and Family Attraction in Hawai’i 2026

Readers’ Choice Awards 

We are thrilled to announce that the Polynesian Cultural Center located in La'ie, O'ahu has been named both the “Best Family Attraction in Hawai'i” and “Best Lu'au in Hawai'i” by USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards (2026).  

These two titles honor decades of storytelling from the beginning of the Polynesian Cultural Center and our ongoing purpose to share the love and culture of each island. 

What is USA Today 10Best? 

USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards is a national program run by USA Today. The nominees are selected by a panel of industry and travel experts, but the winners are chosen by the public. Each nominee is announced over several weeks, and the public can vote each day until the contest closes.  

There are different categories and industries that highlight the best around the country. This combination of industry expert nomination and public’s popular vote gives the award extra credibility. The winners are recognized by both professionals and everyday travelers.

We are so grateful to have won “Best Family Attraction in Hawai'i” for the 6th time. The Polynesian Cultural Center strives to be a place where families can learn about Polynesian culture and create lifelong memories together.  

Starting your adventure in the six villages representing Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Hawai’i, Tahiti, and Aotearoa, you can learn about the history and traditions of each island. The hands-on activities and live performances allow you to explore Polynesia without even leaving O'ahu.

We are also proud to have won the “Best Lu'au in Hawai'i” award for the second year in a row. The Ali’i Lū’au is an experience that can satisfy your craving for Hawaiian culture through music, dance, and food. 

The adventure starts with an authentic Hawaiian performance, honoring Queen Lili’uokalani’s music and traditional hula. On top of the performance, you’re able to enjoy a variety of island-favorite dishes like huli huli chicken and poke.
