Polynesian Cultural Center Presents the 34th Annual Moanikeala Hula Festival

Honoring PCC’s First Kumu Hula, Aunty Sally Moanikealaonapuamakahikina Wood Nalua‘i
WHAT: The Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) will host the 34th Annual Moanikeala Hula Festival on the first Saturday in October, officially kicking off PCC’s birthday month celebrations. The festival honors Aunty Salley Moanikealaonapuamakahikina Wood Nalua‘i, the Center’s first kumu hula.
Visitors are invited to enjoy a full afternoon of hula and Hawaiian culture. Hula performances will be held in the Hawaiian Village every half hour beginning at 1:00 p.m., with the final performance at 5:00 p.m. In addition, all Hawaiian Village activities will remain open throughout the day, including hula lessons, poi sampling, traditional Hawaiian games (ʻulumaika, palaʻie, kōnane and hū), Hawaiian temporary tattoos, and ʻupena hoʻolei (net throwing). Hawaiian food and cultural items will also be available for purchase.
