Polynesian Cultural Center Temporarily Closes Due To Tsunami Warning

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 29, 2025 – Lā‘ie, Hawai‘i – Out of an abundance of caution, the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) suspended all operations for the remainder of today following the issuance of a tsunami warning for the Hawaiian Islands.

The safety of guests, staff, and the community is PCC’s highest priority. Upon receiving official notice from the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center and in alignment with local emergency management protocols, PCC enacted its emergency response plan and began a full site evacuation this afternoon.

The Center will remain closed until local authorities provide clearance to resume normal operations. Updates will be shared via PCC’s official website and social media channels as more information becomes available.

For the latest tsunami information, please refer to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center and local civil defense updates.
