Planning a trip to the Polynesian Cultural Center? You’re in for something truly special. With so many activities, shows, and delicious food options, the PCC can feel like a giant adventure waiting to happen—almost like entering a living Polynesian postcard! But with all the packages and choices available, it’s totally normal to wonder where to start. Don’t worry—here’s a simple, friendly guide to help you find the perfect PCC experience for your visit.

What Is the Polynesian Cultural Center?

Located in beautiful Lāʻie, Hawai‘i, the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) spans 42 acres of interactive culture, food, entertainment, and history. As you first arrive, visitors can stroll through the vibrant Hukilau Marketplace, where you’ll find food trucks, local cuisine, and unique island‑style shops. The PCC also offers two performance theaters—Pacific and Journey—featuring world‑class cultural shows.

The highlight of the PCC is its six recreated Polynesian villages: Tonga, Fiji, Hawai‘i, Tahiti, Aotearoa, and Samoa. Each village offers hands‑on activities, interactive demonstrations, and cultural presentations that bring the traditions of these islands to life.
Guests can also explore The Settlement, a charming historical area with original buildings including a chapel, schoolhouse, and missionary home—offering an authentic glimpse into Lāʻie’s past. Additional activities include a scenic canoe ride and the Jeri Show at the Journey Theater. Together, these experiences make the PCC both enriching and family‑friendly.

Making the Most of Your Visit

Most visitors enjoy spending at least one full day at the PCC. A full day would be from 11:00 AM to 8:45 PM at night. Arrive about an hour before the Island gates open to see the one‑time Huki show, then spend 4–5 hours exploring the villages. Take time to enjoy a meal at the Gateway Buffet or Hukilau Marketplace before ending your day with the award‑winning show, HĀ: Breath of Life. A ticket to the island villages even includes free admission for the next three consecutive days, giving you extra time to explore the island villages if you choose.
